Late for Work
上班遲到
Every morning Steve goes to work by train. As he has a long trip, he always buys a newspaper.
史提夫每天早晨乘火車去上班。由于他的旅程漫長，他總是買一份報紙。
One Tuesday morning, he turned to the sports page.
一個星期二的早上，他翻到了體育版。
He wanted to read the report about an important football match the night before. The team of his town won the match.
他想讀有關前一天晚上重要足球比賽的報道。他家鄉(xiāng)的球隊贏得了比賽。
The report was so interesting that he forgot to get off at his station. He didn't know it until he saw the sea.
報告很有趣，他忘了在他應該下車的站下車。直到他看到大海他才知道。
He got off at the next station, and had to wait a long time for a train to go back.
他在下一站下車了，不得不等待反方向的火車很長一段時間。
Of course, he arrived very late at the office.
當然，他到達辦公室的時候非常晚了。
His boss was very angry when Steve told him why he was late.

“Work is more important than football!” the boss shouted.
