Picking a fight means 'you want to fight,' you are choosing a person to fight with.
In the movie, Lex Luthor tells Bruce Wayne, really Batman, not to fight Superman.
電影中，萊克斯·盧瑟告訴布魯斯·韋恩（即蝙蝠俠）不要和超人對(duì)戰(zhàn)。
Luthor says this after shaking hands with Clark Kent, because he is Superman, Kent has astrong grip, or handshake.

Superman is probably the wrong person to pick a fight with.
