生長繁殖 Growth and Breed 1年生2-5代，以蛹在土中越冬。江西1年生5代，每年5月上旬至5月中旬越冬蛹羽化為成蟲后交配、產(chǎn)卵。1代發(fā)生在5月中旬至6月下旬，2代為6月中旬至7月下旬，3代為7月上旬至8月下旬，4代8月上旬至9月下旬，5代9月中下旬，老熟幼蟲在10月下旬后化蛹。該蟲多把卵產(chǎn)在寄主嫩葉兩面或嫩莖上，每雌產(chǎn)卵200粒左右。幼蟲多在夜間孵化，晝夜取食，老熟后體變成暗紅色，從植株上爬下，入土化蛹羽化或越冬。
