One possible version:
Recently our English Club has had a debate about whether we should set off fireworks at the Lantern Festival. Different people hold different opinions.
People who are for the idea think that it is a tradition to set off fireworks when celebrating the Lantern Festival. Moreover, it creates a festival atmosphere. However, others don't think so. They think it is a complete waste of money. What's worse, it leads to air pollution, which is harmful to our health. Besides, it can cause potential dangers such as fire and other damage.
I think it is unnecessary to set off fireworks at the Lantern Festival. Actually we can celebrate the festival in other ways.
What's your opinion on the matter?

Tomb Sweeping Day is a traditional Chinese holiday that falls on April 4, 5, or 6 in early spring. In Chinese, “Qing Ming” means “clear brightness”. Like other cultures’ festivals in spring, the day celebrates the rebirth of nature, and marks the beginning of the planting season and other outdoor activities.
In ancient times, people celebrated Tomb Sweeping Day by going for picnics, flying kites, etc. As time passed, it has become a day to show respect to one’s ancestors and late family members by going to their graves. People also go to the public cemetery to honour those who gave their lives for the liberation of the Chinese nation.
From 2008, Tomb Sweeping Day has become a public holiday. So I think it is one of the most traditional festivals in China with educational meanings.

Dear Jackie,
I’m glad that you are interested in our Chinese traditional cultures. I am willing to introduce something about the Dragon Boat Festival to you.
The Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on May 5th of the Chinese lunar calendar, dates from the Warring States Period in ancient China. According to an old story, Qu Yuan, living in the Kingdom of Chu, loved his motherland very much. However, he was later exiled for political reasons. Then, on hearing his motherland was taken over by the enemy, he was heart-broken and threw himself into the Miluo River. In order to keep the fish from eating Qu’s body, the fishermen on the river threw Zongzi, a kind of rice food wrapped in leaves, into the river, and thus the festival came into being.
The festival is celebrated in many different ways, such as eating Zongzi, and hanging some special kinds of plants above the front door. Besides, dragon boat races are held in honor of Qu Yuan.
The Dragon Boat Festival has spread to many countries and become popular all over the world.
What do you think of the festival? I’m looking forward to your early reply.

Dear Wendy,
You must be excited about coming to China soon. Let me give you some suggestions and advice about Chinese customs. When you’re eating at the table, it’s impolite to start eating first if there are older people at the table. It’s polite to ask them to start first. Never use your chopsticks to hit an empty bowl. Never stick your chopsticks into your food. In our house, you’re supposed to shake hands with the hosts when you meet each other for the first time. You’re not supposed to kiss them. You can say“ni hao”to them. When you go out with people, you should choose a meeting place that is easy to find. It’s important to arrive at the meeting place on time. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Have a safe trip, and I look forward to meeting you soon!

Dear Tom,
Glad to hear you’re coming to China. At your request, I’d like to tell you how to properly use chopsticks while eating in China.
Chopsticks are most frequently used in China. You should keep some things in mind for their proper use at the dinner table. First, it is forbidden to point at others using your chopsticks as it makes others uncomfortable. Second, don’t tap on your bowl with your chopsticks, since that is considered an insult to the host or the chef. More importantly, never stick your chopsticks upright in the rice bowl. Lay them on your dish if necessary.
Looking forward to your coming and I hope that these tips will be useful.

However, others think differently. They think online shopping isn’t as reliable as traditional shopping. People can’t touch or try the things they want to buy. They may get unsuitable things or even get cheated by receiving goods of poor quality.
In my opinion, online shopping has more advantages than disadvantages. It’s quite convenient and time-saving as long as people think carefully before placing orders.
