people、person、human都可以表示人
但這三個詞都有什么區(qū)別呢？

首先，我們先要區(qū)分一下人和人類的差別。people和person是人，而human是指人類。
people指人，英文解釋是persons; men, women and children，是集合名詞，表復(fù)數(shù)概念。兩個以上的人就可以用people。
而person指人，英文解釋是a human as an individual，人類中的一個個體，man、woman、child中任意一個。

人類，就不僅是human了，human being、man、mankind/humankind、humanity都可以表示人類，英文解釋是people in general，只是這些詞的側(cè)重點不同。
1. human/human being
human和human being都是可數(shù)名詞，強調(diào)人類里的每“個人”，相當(dāng)于a person。
2. man
man可以泛指所有的人類，但用man來表示人類有些性別歧視的意味。
3. mankind/humankind
mankind和humankind表示人類的時候，也包含人類歷史和發(fā)展的意思，mankind和man同理，大家要注意使用哦！
4. humanity
humanity表示人類，更多是用在人權(quán)、人類共同的難題這些比較宏大的主題上。

people可以表示某個國家、種族、區(qū)域內(nèi)的人。
表示某國人就是the British/American etc people；表示某個民族就是people of...，當(dāng)表示民族、種族的時候是可數(shù)的。

the little people可以表示童話故事里的小精靈、小仙子，尤其是指愛爾蘭傳說里的小精靈。
little person還可以指小老百姓、平民、小人物，形容國家或組織里的無權(quán)無勢的群體。

in person意思是親自、親手、本人；而on/about one's person意思是隨身攜帶。

human更多是作形容詞使用，表示區(qū)別于機器、動物，和人有關(guān)的屬性或人的弱點、情感等。
human interest可不是人的興趣，而是指（新聞報道、故事等中的）人情味的意思。
News with human interest is popular with readers because it's in accordance with people's overall feelings and affections.
富有人情味的新聞符合讀者的口味，因為這和人的共同情感一致.
