make是初中英語中出現(xiàn)頻率很高的一個(gè)動(dòng)詞,它的用法主要有;
一、make用作及物動(dòng)詞，后面接賓語或雙賓語，意為“做”、“制作”“制造”。如：
1、make sth.（制造某物）
She can make kites. 她會(huì)制作風(fēng)箏。
Since then, he has been interested in making model ships.
2、make sb. sth. = make sth for sb.（為某人制造某物）
His mother made him a beautiful coat. / His mother made a beautiful coat for him. 他的母親為他縫制了一件漂亮的外衣。
Would you please make a kite for me?
二、make 用作及物動(dòng)詞，后面可接賓語補(bǔ)足語（名詞、形容詞、過去分詞、不帶to的動(dòng)詞不定式），一般用于“make + 賓語 + 賓補(bǔ)”這種結(jié)構(gòu)，意為“使（得）……”。如：
1、make + 賓語 + 名詞（使……成為）
They all want to make Jim their monitor. （名詞）他們都想讓吉姆當(dāng)班長。
The Statue is almost 45 meters high--- this makes it one of the biggest statues in the world.
2、make + 賓語 + 形容詞（使……怎么樣）
The news made him happy. 這個(gè)消息使他很高興。
Life here makes me happy.
在此句型中，通常用it作形式賓語，而動(dòng)詞不定式或從句才是真正的賓語，而且要后置。例如：
Computers make it easier to learn English. 電腦使英語學(xué)習(xí)更加容易。
3、make + 賓語 + 過去分詞（使……被……）
I spoke loudly in order to make my voice heard.（過去分詞）我大聲地講話，以便讓別人聽到。
He tried his best to make himself understood.
4、make + 賓語 + 動(dòng)詞不定式（不帶to），即make sb. do (sth)（使……做……）
He made faces and made us laugh.
Our English teacher often makes us retell the texts. 我們的英語老師經(jīng)常讓我們復(fù)述課文。
這是在主動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)中，但是在被動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)中，要加to，也就是說這種結(jié)構(gòu)應(yīng)該變?yōu)椋篵e made to do sth.
We are often made to retell the texts (by our English teacher).
The boy is made to do much homework every day by his mother.
三、 被動(dòng)語態(tài)中常用be made of / from, be made in, be made by等短語來表示“……是由……制成的”，“……是在……制成的”和“……是被……制成的”。
例如： Wine is made from grapes. 酒是由葡萄釀制成的。
Desks are made of wood. 桌子是由木頭制成的。
These cars were made in Changchun. 這些汽車是在長春制造的。
This kind of cake is made by himself. 這種蛋糕是他自己做的。
make還可以構(gòu)成大量短語：
make a decision (下決定) , make a face / faces （做鬼臉）, make friends with （與……交友）, make progress (取得進(jìn)步)，make sure （確信、弄清楚）, make up one's mind （下決心）等。
