讓步狀語從句
1．though/although：在句子中一般用了“雖然(though/although)”就不能再用“但是(but)”，但可以與yet或still連用；though與although意義相同，用法基本一樣，前者通俗，口語化，后者正式，多放在主句的前面。
◆Though/Although regular exercise is very important, it’s never a good idea to exercise too close to bedtime.
盡管有規(guī)律的鍛煉很重要，但臨睡前鍛煉不是個(gè)好主意。
2．even if 和even though的意思為“即使，縱使”，有退一步設(shè)想的意味，多用于書面語中。
◆Even if I am very busy, I will give you a hand when you are in trouble.
即使我很忙，你處境困難時(shí)我也會(huì)幫助你。
3．a(chǎn)s引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句多用于書面語，從句常放在句首，語序部分倒裝。被倒裝的部分可以是表語、狀語或動(dòng)詞原形。若表語是單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，則該名詞提前時(shí)，省去其前的冠詞。
◆Hot as/though the night air was, we slept deeply because we were so tired after the long journey.
在長途跋涉之后，盡管夜晚的空氣很熱，我們還是因?yàn)槔鬯煤苁臁?/p>
4．no matter(who, what, when, where, which, how…)：no matter…與wh－ever引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句意義基本一樣，no matter…引導(dǎo)的從句可位于主句前或主句后。
◆No matter how busy you are, you should set aside half an hour to take exercise.
無論你多么忙，你應(yīng)該留出半小時(shí)鍛煉身體。
5．wh－ever(whatever/whoever/whenever/wherever/whichever); however。
(1)wh－ever從句中的動(dòng)詞有時(shí)可以和may連用；
(2)wh－ever可引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，也可引導(dǎo)名詞性從句；no matter…只能引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。
◆Whatever work we do, we should do our best.
不管做什么工作，我們都要盡力。
6．whether…or…引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句，意為“不論……還是……”，提供兩種對(duì)比情況。
◆We’ll go on with the work, whether we can find the necessary tools or we cannot. 不管我們能否找到所需的工具，我們都要把這件工作做下去。
7．while也可以引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，意為“盡管”，一般放在句首。
◆While my mother loves me very much, she is very strict with me. 盡管母親很愛我，但是她對(duì)我非常嚴(yán)厲。
[典例] (2015·浙江高考短文改錯(cuò))If I was only a child when I studied in that classroom, I will never forget it.
If→Although/Though 解析：從句意思是“當(dāng)我在那間教室學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)我只是一個(gè)孩子”，而主句意思是“我永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)忘記”，主從句的關(guān)系應(yīng)該是讓步，而不是條件。
