Abstract

A series of fundamental and market-oriented reforms since 1978 have dramatically reshaped China's agricultural sector, which had been sluggish during the socialist period. Besides productivity growth and efficiency changes, the shape of the production function may also transform rapidly over time. Moreover, the four segments in agriculture (farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries) have different production processes and techniques, so the aggregated production function of agriculture may vary across provinces. Compared with existing studies, which usually assume a fixed production function, this paper allows a varying coefficient production function that can better capture the structure change in the six reform periods over the past four decades. The empirical results show that the labor elasticity is decreasing, the fertilizer and machinery elasticities are increasing, and the land elasticity has a U-shaped curve across time. Moreover, technology and inputs are leading the growth alternatively in different reform periods.

2006-2016年，曾先后在浙江大學(xué)管理學(xué)院、美國(guó)密歇根州立大學(xué)農(nóng)學(xué)院、美國(guó)萊斯大學(xué)社會(huì)科學(xué)學(xué)院和喬治布朗工程學(xué)院、美國(guó)布朗大學(xué)經(jīng)濟(jì)系、美國(guó)創(chuàng)新扶貧行動(dòng)組織、威德福國(guó)際、美國(guó)貝克公共政策研究所等機(jī)構(gòu)學(xué)習(xí)和工作，期間獲得管理學(xué)學(xué)士、農(nóng)業(yè)與資源經(jīng)濟(jì)碩士、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)碩士、統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)碩士、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)博士學(xué)位。攻讀博士期間，師從世界著名生產(chǎn)率研究學(xué)者Robin Sickles（學(xué)術(shù)家譜圖(1315年-2016年)），并獲得前美國(guó)能源部長(zhǎng)、諾獎(jiǎng)得主Steven Chu（朱棣文）和諾獎(jiǎng)得主Roger Myerson的指導(dǎo)，主要研究生產(chǎn)率模型的理論拓展以及在能源行業(yè)的應(yīng)用，博士論文《多部門組織生產(chǎn)率及績(jī)效分析》獲萊斯大學(xué)杰出博士論文獎(jiǎng)。于2016年入選浙江大學(xué)“百人計(jì)劃”，同年全職回浙江大學(xué)任教。

個(gè)人獨(dú)著發(fā)表在Journal of Development Economics, Energy Journal, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Food Policy, Review of Development Economics 等權(quán)威期刊，以及《中國(guó)農(nóng)村經(jīng)濟(jì)》等國(guó)內(nèi)期刊論文。2018年，發(fā)表（含錄用）SSCI論文九篇，均為獨(dú)著，其中Q1區(qū)論文七篇，ESI前1%高引用論文一篇，影響因子總和達(dá)25，成為首屆中國(guó)青年農(nóng)業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家論壇年度學(xué)者，首位在能源經(jīng)濟(jì)三大刊均獨(dú)立發(fā)文的大陸學(xué)者，第六位在發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)最高期JDE獨(dú)立發(fā)文的大陸學(xué)者（其余五位是林毅夫、姚洋等來(lái)自北大、清華和人大的學(xué)者）。
