persuade/ convince/ induce
這三個詞都是動詞，且都有勸說之意，那具體的區(qū)別是怎樣的呢？
1. persuade與convince的區(qū)別
persuade的習(xí)慣用法是persuade somebody to do something 說服某人做某事
而convince一般是convince somebody that something is true 令某人對某事信服，讓某人認(rèn)為某事是對的
I persuaded my friend to come with me.
我說服我的朋友跟我一塊去。
I convinced my friend that it is a good idea for him to come with me.
我讓我的朋友信服跟我一起去是一個好主意。
I persuaded my friend to give me some money, but he was not convinced this was the right thing to do.
我說服我的朋友給我一些錢，不過他并不認(rèn)為這是一個正確的事情。
I am convinced that I am right, but this is impossible for me to persuade anybody else.
我自認(rèn)為我是對的，但我沒辦法說服其他人。
My argument was very persuasive, so people are attracted to the idea. But the problem is it is not convincing, it doesn’t make them believe absolutely that this is true.
