This course aims to help students learn how to use 3D-slicer software. To enable students to reconstruct the 3D virtual model of the target anatomy according to their own learning needs and interests.Under the guidance of neurosurgery teachers, they were asked to analyze each anatomical structure and its relationship, construct the spatial concept of craniocerebral three-dimensional structure, discuss and make the operation plan, and strengthen the systematic learning of craniocerebral anatomy and function, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

What is the 3D Slicer?
3D Slicer is an open source software platform for medical image informatics, image processing, and three-dimensional visualization. Built over two decades through support from the National Institutes of Health and a worldwide developer community, Slicer brings free, powerful cross-platform processing tools to physicians, researchers, and the general public.
Features include:
Multi organ: from head to toe.
Support for multi-modality imaging including, MRI, CT, US, nuclear medicine, and microscopy.
Bidirectional interface for devices
How does it deepen your knowledge of anatomy?
Through this software, patients' CT, MRI and other imaging data are reconstructed in three dimensions, breaking through the limitations of two-dimensional imaging observation of anatomy, and the brain tissue, blood vessels, nerves and the relationship with lesions can be directly viewed from any Angle. At the same time, it is the premise and foundation of 3D printing technology. The reconstructed virtual model can be output into 3D printing format, which can be converted into real entities for practical operation.
