Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I’m glad and honored to be here, on the behalf of our school and English group, to make a short speech before the event, which is happening right here right now.
This evening, we gather together to celebrate the first opening ceremony of the English Culture Festival. Thank you for joining us.
If you ask me to describe the event, English Culture Festival, with one world, I will use the word “opportunity”.
Yes ,it’s an opportunity for improvement. By taking part in it, we can make improvements in many aspects. We can improve our English, we can improve our performing skills, we can improve our teamwork spirit, we can improve our comprehension of English culture.
It’s an opportunity for experiencing. By playing a role in it, we can experience stage, we can experience communication, we can experience cooperation, we can experience pains and gains, we can experience failures and successes, we can experience bitterness and sweetness. Every moment we devoted to the preparations for the Festival, we experienced growth and maturity.
It’s an opportunity to display our talents. It’s an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the language. It’s an opportunity to appreciate the wonderful performances.
By so doing ,we can create an English environment for the students and the opportunity of learning English happily, we have set up a stage to show our strong desire for English.
So let me thank you, my colleagues, for the efforts and contribution that you have made to ensure the success of the Festival.! It’s you who made it possible.
And let me thank you, my boys and girls, for the efforts to make preparations for the coming wonderful performances. It’s you who will make it amazing.

On the Opening of the Fire English Culture Festival

I’m glad and honored to be here to make a short speech before the event, which is happening right here right now, on the behalf of our school and English group.
First of all, let me thank all of you, my colleges included, of course because it’s you who make it possible. Thank you for everything that you have done to ensure the success of the Festival. Working together, we have made it. Yeah, we have made it. I can’t forget the moment when we talked about how we should organize the event, when we discussed the details about it, when we polished the drafts, when we exchanged the ideas about it. I can’t forget the moment when we organized the rehearsal and select the better contestants, when we helped the contestant correct the mistakes in pronunciation, grammar and spellings, when we directed the contestants to give a better and better performance on the stage. Yeah, I thank you for the efforts and contribution that you have made for the success of the Festival. It’s very important for us, for everyone here.
The second point that I want to make is that I know it is not easy to make an English speech. Once a great speaker said : my brain began to work once I was born till I start to make a speech in public. It’s not easy to make a speech, even in our mother tongue, let alone to make a speech in English, the foreign language that we are struggling with. But I have strong belief in you because you have made full preparation for that, so, contestants, be confident, and believe that your efforts will pay off. Just do it, without hesitation, without fear, without worry. Just do it. We all believe that you can, yes ,you can and yes, we can!
