我不是在北京、上海 、深圳（一線城市），我在內(nèi)蒙古。 我第一次去內(nèi)蒙古的時(shí)候，內(nèi)蒙古就是一個(gè)小的，small town（小城鎮(zhèn)）一樣的感覺(jué)。有一個(gè)小的麥當(dāng)勞、 一個(gè)肯德基 ......Very small, sweet little town. （非常小的、可愛(ài)的小城鎮(zhèn)。）
It's got everything. （應(yīng)有盡有。） They got 5G. They got 地鐵、高鐵。They got 很多個(gè)星巴克。They got like ... （他們有了5G；有了地鐵、高鐵；有很多星巴克；他們......） 啥都有！知道嗎？
這里還只是Tier3（三線）城市。我親眼目睹他們兩年建了一個(gè)地鐵。我的媽呀！
在大衛(wèi)眼里，中國(guó)“基建狂魔”的綽號(hào)名不虛傳。
How you can make a 地鐵 in just two years, man? How? 你們咋能在兩年內(nèi)就建成一條地鐵線。親，咋就能？ For the whole city you built a subway system. Oh, my god！ 兩年建好了一條貫通城市的地鐵線，天??！ So, 我自己看到了好多變化，好多......
大衛(wèi)回澳洲后非常懷念中國(guó)的生活，并稱(chēng)，“中國(guó)有獨(dú)一無(wú)二的優(yōu)勢(shì)，那就是便利”。
在呼市，一點(diǎn) ，in the morning, You know? You wanna eat some Malatang. You hungry. 在呼市凌晨一點(diǎn)，你餓了，想吃麻辣燙。 You just call it. DING DING BANG！It's done. 剛訂完，叮叮邦！飯就到了。 Here in Australia you have to wait 30-40 minutes. 在這里（澳洲）等外賣(mài)配送要30-40分鐘。
比如點(diǎn)個(gè)外賣(mài)，飯差不多是30澳幣，但是the delivery fee（配送費(fèi)）要20澳幣。
...because China is super populous, and it's based on population.
The work availability for everyone...There's a job for everyone in China. Do you understand?
However, in the US, in Australia, Canada or the UK, wherever, things that rely on speed and people aren't very efficient, because there are fewer people.
It doesn't mean the country's function is bad. It just means they cannot compete with the efficiency of China.
If the US is the uncle, the UK is the grandfather, and Australia is the cousin, then China is like this neighbor we have. Suddenly you see your neighbor's house is getting bigger and bigger. Suddenly you see China is becoming more and more powerful.
This neighbor was poor but suddenly is so rich！Oh, no！I'd better protect my house. The West looks at China this way. The West cannot accept an Asian country has something better than them.
I spent more than 10 years of my life in one country. I know it very well. I have the right to say what I want about China because I know China so well. I'm not saying China is perfect; I'm not saying that Australia is perfect; I'm not saying that the US is perfect...Every country has its own problems.
Every country has rules.（每個(gè)國(guó)家都有自己的規(guī)矩。） 你覺(jué)得澳洲沒(méi)有嗎？
I live in a country and follow that country's rules. I live in China; I follow China's rules. I live in Australia; I follow the rules here. As long as you don't break the rules in a country, you live by their law, you'll be fine.
我住在哪個(gè)國(guó)家，就遵守哪個(gè)國(guó)家的規(guī)矩。我住在中國(guó)，就遵守中國(guó)的規(guī)矩。我住在澳洲，就遵守澳洲的規(guī)矩。只要你不違反這些規(guī)矩，遵紀(jì)守法，就沒(méi)問(wèn)題。
我第一次到內(nèi)蒙古的時(shí)候，他們跟我說(shuō)，“老外！”我說(shuō)，“欸！ I had a little book with me. So I can say things like '去哪里''我要去'...... 我有一本書(shū)，我能理解“去哪里、我要去”之類(lèi)的話。 And the guy said（然后那個(gè)人說(shuō)）,“去哪圪？”
I said：“what is 去哪圪？”（我問(wèn)什么是去哪圪？） “去哪圪” means “你去哪里”。Their language is so cool.（他們的語(yǔ)言非常有趣。） They don't say “沒(méi)事”. They say “么四兒”.（他們不說(shuō)“沒(méi)事”，他們說(shuō) “么四兒”。）
所以我的普通話有一點(diǎn)內(nèi)蒙味兒。
If you want to learn Chinese well, you have to integrate with the culture.
You can't just go to China to learn Chinese. You have to like the Chinese people, you have to like their food, you have to like their culture, you have to like everything about that country, so you can open your heart and learn it very quickly.
My favourite Chinese food in the whole world is Sichuan chuanchuan (skewers).
