大家都知道，“Hit”在英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用中最普遍的意思就是“打擊，撞擊”，但這并不代表任何情況下“hit”都可以這么翻譯。
比如在上面提到的英語(yǔ)短語(yǔ)“hit on someone”中，“hit”的意思翻譯成“打擊”就不合適了，因?yàn)檫@個(gè)短語(yǔ)并不是在說“擊打某人”哦。那“hit on someone”的正確翻譯是什么呢，看下去你就知道了。
1、Hit on someone（勾搭）
看到它的意思是不是有點(diǎn)大吃一驚？“Hit on someone”并不是打某人的意思，而是“勾搭”的意思，就如同人們常說的“撩妹”，“泡妞”一樣

Cindy總是渾然不知有男生在追她。
2、Hit on/hit upon something（突然想到）
例：
He hit on an idea that would be the perfect birthday surprise.

3、Hit the road （上路）
這是一句很實(shí)用的片語(yǔ)，其實(shí)就是出發(fā)，上路的意思，喜歡直譯的小伙伴千萬要注意啦。

4、Hit the sack（就寢）

6、Hit the jackpot （中頭獎(jiǎng)）
這個(gè)很好理解，“jackpot”是“頭獎(jiǎng)”的意思，所以“hit the jackpot”就是中頭彩的意思啦。
例：
Sally is the perfect girl for me. I've hit the jackpot in life by being with her.
Sally是我的真命天女，能和她在一起真是我這輩子最大的福分。
7、Hit it off（一拍即合）
這個(gè)短語(yǔ)就是形容兩個(gè)人合得來的意思，并不是打打鬧鬧。
例：
We all thought the two of you would hit it off well.

8、Hit the bottle （酗酒）
我們都知道在英語(yǔ)中，酒鬼的英文是alcoholic，但是酗酒卻要說成hit the bottle，就好像拿起酒瓶子發(fā)泄心中的一些情緒，還挺人性的嘛。

11、Hit it big （成功了）
“Hit it big”是一句俚語(yǔ)，表示“成功了”。當(dāng)Hit it big+time時(shí)，即“Hit it big time”表示“大獲成功”。

12、Hit the books（用功讀書）
這其實(shí)就是中文的“啃書”的意思，代表用功讀書。
例：
I got an exam tomorrow. so I got to hit the books tonight.

13、Hit the roof （勃然大怒）
=hit the ceiling
“Hit the roof”的意思是“勃然大怒，暴跳如雷”，都撞到天花板了，足可見火氣有多么大。
例：
My parents would hit the roof if he knew that I wrecked his car.
如果我爸發(fā)現(xiàn)我毀了他的車，一定會(huì)暴跳如雷的。
