One day a dog has a nice piece of meat for his dinner. He goes home happily with the meat in his mouth.
有一天，一只狗得了一塊非常美味的肉做晚餐，于是它開開心心的叼著肉往回走。
On his way home, there is a stream. The water is still and clear. He stops to take a look at it.
在它回家的路上，有一條小溪，溪水平靜而清澈。它停下來(lái)看了看。
What does he see? There is a dog as big as himself and he has some meat in his mouth, too.
它看到了什么？溪水里有一只和它一樣大小的狗，嘴里也含著一塊兒肉。
“I’ll try to get it. What a feast I will have today!”
“我要想辦法拿到那塊肉。今天我要吃一頓多么豐盛的大餐啊!”
He opens his mouth to get it, but just then his own piece falls into the stream. He goes sadly home.
它張開嘴去咬那塊肉，但就在那時(shí)，它自己的那塊肉掉進(jìn)了溪水里。它傷心的回家了。
