現(xiàn)在高考英語的閱讀題和完形填空題的句子越來越長，增加了學(xué)生理解的難度，所以看清句子結(jié)構(gòu)，是提高閱讀理解能力的重要手段。
二、多重并列結(jié)構(gòu)
1. Just as social positions can be symbolized by feathers worn on the head, by gold on the watch chain, or by a thousand other things according to the culture we live in, so the fact of being hungry can be symbolized by a thousand different noises according to the culture we live in.
解析：全句為一個句型Just as..., so... 意思是，“正如...，...也...”。句子包含三個并列的介詞短語by...，作狀語。
